BeforeImmigration is an independent educational website available at beforeimmigration.com. Privacy questions or requests can be sent to hello@beforeimmigration.com.
Information you choose to provide
You can browse the public website without creating an account. If you email us or submit a website form, we receive the information you include and the contact details you use. We use it to respond, provide the requested function, protect the site, and maintain relevant records.
The pathway quiz
The current Canada Pathway Quiz processes the answers you select in your browser to create an educational shortlist. It does not require an account and is not designed to send your quiz answers to BeforeImmigration. Standard technical logs described below may still record that a quiz page was requested.
Technical information
Our hosting provider, WordPress installation, security tools, caching tools, and other website services may automatically process technical information. This can include an IP address, browser and device type, requested pages, timestamps, referring pages, approximate location derived from an IP address, and security events.
This information may be used to operate, secure, troubleshoot, measure, and improve the website; prevent abuse; and comply with legal obligations.

Those organizations process information under their own terms and privacy notices. A link does not mean BeforeImmigration controls the third party.

Retention and security
We aim to keep personal information only as long as reasonably needed for the purpose for which it was collected, site security, dispute resolution, or legal compliance. No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.
Your choices and rights

Children
The site is intended for people researching immigration options and is not designed to knowingly collect personal information from children. A parent or guardian who believes a child has provided personal information can contact us.
