Immigration rules, program availability, fees, forms, and processing instructions can change. This policy explains how BeforeImmigration maintains its educational content.

Always verify before acting. A guide may be clear and carefully sourced but still become outdated after a government announcement. Confirm the current official instructions before paying a fee, submitting a form, or making a major decision.

What we review

Program statusWhether an intake is open, paused, closed, capped, or invitation-based.

Material requirementsEligibility rules, documents, language testing, work experience, education, settlement funds, and admissibility notes.

Time-sensitive detailsFees, thresholds, invitation rounds, quotas, deadlines, and temporary public policies.

Source qualityWhether links still lead to the current official page and whether a claim is supported by the strongest available source.

When content is updated

We use both routine reviews and event-driven updates. A guide may be reviewed when an immigration authority publishes a material announcement, when an official source changes, when a link breaks, or when a reader identifies a possible problem. High-impact claims receive priority.

A “last reviewed” or “last updated” date describes our review date; it is not a guarantee that no authority has changed a rule since that moment.

How we handle corrections

Minor spelling, formatting, or broken-link fixes may be made without a correction note.
Material factual errors are corrected promptly after they are confirmed against an authoritative source.
When a change could meaningfully affect a visitor’s understanding, we aim to state the current position clearly and preserve useful context about the change.
Quiz logic is updated when a pathway’s status or broad matching conditions materially change.

How to report a possible error

Use a contact method published on this website and include the page address, the statement you believe needs review, and—if available—the official source that supports the correction. Please do not send personal immigration documents or sensitive identifying information.
