Estimate your Comprehensive Ranking System score

Use the official CRS point tables to build a transparent estimate and see which parts of your profile contribute points.

Rules checked against Canada.ca on 3 September 2026

This is an educational estimate, not an eligibility decision. The official Express Entry system governs if its result differs. A CRS score does not prove that you qualify for an Express Entry program or will receive an invitation.
No account is required. Your answers and result stay in this browser and are not submitted to BeforeImmigration.
1. Family situation

CRS uses different maximums when an eligible spouse or common-law partner accompanies the principal applicant.

Choose “No” if you are single, your partner will not accompany you, or your partner is already a Canadian citizen or permanent resident.
2. Principal applicant
Use your current age, or your age on the invitation date if you have already been invited.
Foreign education normally needs a valid Educational Credential Assessment.
Use valid approved test results that are less than two years old.

First official language — enter the CLB/NCLC level for each ability

3. Skill transferability

These combinations use education, language, Canadian work, foreign work and a Canadian trade certificate. The section is capped at 100 points.

This is not the same as a provincial nomination or an educational credential.
4. Additional points
They must be at least 18 and a Canadian citizen or permanent resident. An eligible sibling of an accompanying partner can also count.
An expression of interest, invitation to apply to a province, or provincial job offer is not automatically a nomination certificate.

What this CRS estimate includes

The calculation follows the four parts of the official Comprehensive Ranking System: core/human-capital factors, accompanying-spouse factors, skill transferability and additional points. Language is scored ability by ability because a single lower score can change both core and transferability points.

Common reasons an estimate differs from the official result

  • Using an overall language band instead of the converted CLB or NCLC for each ability.
  • Counting foreign education without a valid Educational Credential Assessment.
  • Treating a non-accompanying or Canadian-citizen partner as an accompanying spouse.
  • Counting work that does not meet the program’s skilled-work or in-Canada requirements.
  • Claiming Canadian-education, sibling, trade-certificate or nomination points before every condition is met.
  • Adding job-offer CRS points, which were removed on 25 March 2025.

How to use your result

First, verify the same answers in the official calculator. Then check whether you are eligible for at least one Express Entry program. Finally, compare your score with recent invitation rounds while remembering that draw type, category and cut-off can change.
